I dont think words could do justice to describe the experience we received at Kaitahi Lodge, from Ryan and Jazz, you need to feel it for yourself, but Ill give it a shot. Absolutely a treat and relaxing hideaway. An easy short drive from Palmerston North CBD, but yet secluded and hidden. The property is stunning and very tastefully decorated, whilst hidden in a picturesque green sanctuary. The accommodation is spacious and very well appointed with quality fittings and furniture. The bed is very comfortable with a selection of equally comfortable pillows. We opted for the dinner and wine pairing. Best decision, as Ryan is not only an excellent chef by trade, but in his own environment his creativity is sublime. Jazz and Ryan work together cooking, plating and presenting the stunning courses and wine. They explain each course and are extremely comfortable to chat with, whilst still giving us time to savor the tastes. We had a thoroughly relaxed and enjoyable evening, finishing with a stunning desert and little sticky in the wine cellar. The next morning Ryan and Jazz left us a first class breakfast, with a touching gift of their necterine chutney. Overall a superb find and you will not regret this one of a kind experience. We will certainly be back. Loved the complimentary truffles, chocolates and drinks, lovely touch. Thank you both Jazz and Ryan, what you are doing is all class.

Kaitahi Lodge was exceptional! From the decor, to the gorgeous country setting so close to Palmerston North, along with the delicious cuisine and attentive hosts…we couldn’t fault it. Every detail has been thought of to provide a luxurious and relaxing experience. Thank you Jazz and Ryan, we can’t wait to return.

We had the most incredible stay at Kaitahi Lodge! They accommodated us at extremely short notice — even with our 1-year-old German Spitz in tow — and couldn’t have been more welcoming. The lodge itself was immaculate, beautifully maintained, and complete luxury from top to bottom. The warmth of the space was only matched by the kindness of our hosts, who struck the perfect balance between being available when we needed them and giving us our own space to relax. It was truly a home away from home, and I honestly couldn’t recommend Kaitahi Lodge highly enough. A gem of a place with heart — thank you so much!

Fantastic spot for a getaway, or staycation if local. Beautiful accommodation and brilliantly hosted by Jazz. Will definitely be returning.
